Opening Credits - Abbie

Seven

- Credits appear over different images throughout
- White text merges in and then disappears like an electric current is passing through it
- Moves to a black plate background
- Flicks between appearing over an image to appearing over a plate background
- When text disappears non-diegetic electrical sounds play with it
- The title Seven appears in different distorted texts glitching each time
- Sounds like a tape being fastforwarded linking to the glitching text and sounds
- Different texts appear for longer than others with emphasis on certain names of actors
- Background images of books and the contents of what is inside these certain books
- The colour red is introduced linking to the fact the film is a thriller (blood)

Inception

- Red text used on a black plate background
- Unclear that it's a thriller with only subtle hints being the non-diegetic music and the text being red
- Letters from each actors name used to frame the next one in the sequence
- Non-diegetic soundtrack is fast paced, something you would relate to a chase scene
- Spinning-top is symbolised throughout causing us to think it could be in relation to something in the film
- Zooms right into the text where further patterns emerge making it quite hypnotic
- When main title is introduced all previous text merges together to form the word 'Inception'

The Sixth Sense

- Black plate background
- Text merges in and then fades out
- Gentle soundtrack
- Doesn't reveal anything about the film
- Adds a sense of mystery

Vertigo

- White text appears over womans face, new text introduced over each main feature
- Zooms into womans eye and filter turns red introducing the fact that this is a thriller
- Main title of film wooshes in from the eye
- This is followed the hypnotic spirals on a black plate background and glitchy white text
- The soundtrack is mysterious and becomes more dramatic as the text appears
- Music is also quite hypnotic at times linking to the spirals
